1. How it Works
Qualified Health Plans are private health insurance plans where you pay a certain monthly amount for coverage. There are also out of pocket expenses including copayments, deductibles and coinsurance.
- Enroll or change your private health insurance coverage for 2025 starting from November 16, 2024 – January 31, 2025 .
- If you enroll through NY State of Health , you might be able to get financial help. You can also buy private insurance directly from an insurance company but you won’t be eligible for financial help.
- If you have limited income or children, you might qualify for free or low-cost public health insurance plans like Medicaid, Child Health Plus, and the Essential Plan . You can enroll in these anytime during the year.
